Astrid isn’t just a character: she’s the character. My absolute favorite. A strong, determined warrior with a big heart — a figure who deeply inspired me from the very first moment. Creating her armor from How to Train Your Dragon 3 was an intense journey, full of passion, dedication, and many rewards.
Each scale of the foam armor was sculpted, painted, and finished by hand, with meticulous attention to detail and reflections that make this costume vivid and recognizable. But the real star of the show during my performance is the baby dragon: not just a simple accessory, but an articulated puppet made of foam and latex that I personally control on stage.
This project came to life on the stage of the European Cosplay Gathering, an event that has always held a special place in my heart. There, I gave my all: technique, emotion, energy. And the victory that followed is something I will carry with me forever. I will never stop being grateful for this experience.
