This cosplay was born from a challenge: to create something powerful, elegant, and unique… but only with materials already available in my workshop.

Yes, Mulan Elite Archer was made almost entirely from scraps of other cosplays: leftover foam, salvaged fabrics, reinvented details. A recycling project, yes — but done with care, vision, and a lot of dedication.

I spent two months completing it, working every day between tailoring and props, choosing to build everything from scratch and reuse without sacrificing quality.

🟣 The costume is a mix of tailoring techniques and elements in faux leather, sewn and finished by hand. 🟣 The armor is made of foam, engraved and painted with attention to contrasts. 🟣 All the decorative accessories are self-made, using leftovers from previous projects but redesigned to fit this version. 🟣 And yes, the wig was finished in the hotel!

I wanted to bring this Mulan to Japan Expo in Paris for the Lorcana-themed competition. Not only because the design immediately caught my attention, but because it perfectly represents what I love to do: giving new life to materials, transforming them into something completely new. A character that reflects strength and determination, just like the process that led to her creation.
