Hello little turtle and welcome to a new Cosplay Tutorial! In this first article dedicated to Zelda from Breath of the Wild, I’ll show you how I made the accessories for her priestess outfit. I also have a gift for you: here you can find the link to download all the accessory patterns. You just need to download the PDF, start printing, and follow the instructions—or, of course, follow the video at the end of this article. But let’s start from the beginning…
THE BELT
To create the Triforce emblem on the belt, I cut a circle from a 2 mm foam sheet (1), heat it with a heat gun, and shape it into a hemisphere using the inside of a plastic sphere (2). I do the same with the raised Triforce symbol (3). I glue the two pieces on top of each other (4).

Now let’s move on to the belt itself (5): I cut a thick strip and smaller strips from a 2 mm foam sheet and glue all the small strips in the correct positions: one on the top of the belt, one on the bottom. The others form a sine wave along the central band of the belt (6). I glue the emblem on the end of the belt and small foam dots in the empty spaces. You can make these precise little circles using a punch or cut them by hand (although it’s obviously more difficult to make them all the same size) (7).

THE BRACELETS AND THE NECKLACE
The second part of this Cosplay Tutorial is dedicated to Zelda’s bracelets and necklace. I decided to make them out of Worbla, so first I cut out the correct pattern (you can always find it in the downloadable PDF here). I attach the pattern to the Worbla sheet with masking tape. Using a pen, I trace the edges (8) and cut everything out, paying particular attention to the corners (9): it’s not the easiest step and requires some care, but you can do it! For the necklace, no additional steps are needed.

For the bracelets, I make a cardboard cone, heat the two pieces of Worbla, and try to shape each one correctly, being careful that the Worbla itself (sticky at this stage) doesn’t deform or crumple irreparably (10, 11). Make sure the smooth side of the Worbla is on the outside.
What I’m showing you isn’t the standard way to use Worbla, but Zelda’s jewelry is made of gold and is very thin, and this method will allow you to achieve a much more realistic result.
There’s no need to use hooks or even zippers, as I’ve seen done elsewhere on the Internet: they hold up on their own just like real metal bracelets! (12)

PRIMING AND PAINTING
At this point, I apply three to four coats of Flexi Paint on each accessory (13).
Regarding the paint, to give the metal a realistic effect, I first apply layers of glossy black (14) and then layers of chrome color (15, 16).

I add some blue with a brush, and here are the finished accessories (17).

COSPLAY TUTORIAL: THE FINAL RESULT
Finishing Zelda’s accessories is relatively simple; you don’t need any special skills or tricks. Just a little effort will enhance and improve your new cosplay!
In the second part of the Cosplay Tutorial, in the next article, I’ll show you how to create Silent Princess.
Now I ask you: which part of the process was the most interesting? Which topic would you like to explore further? Leave me a comment with your answer. We’ll catch up in another article! Bye!
